We are Ela and Ljudevit — a chef couple who have brought together our love of food and life into one shared vision: Ješka Fine Bistro, nestled in the heart of Makarska.
Our story began in professional kitchens across Croatia, where we honed our craft, refined our skills, and developed a deep respect for ingredients. Our paths crossed in a Michelin-starred restaurant, where precision, creativity and passion defined every service. After years of experience, we felt it was time to create something of our own — a place that reflects who we are and how we love to cook.
Ješka Fine Bistro is built on three simple principles: seasonal ingredients, honest flavours, and thoughtful presentation. We believe that great food does not need to be complicated — it needs to be genuine. Every dish we serve is created together, carefully considered, and prepared with attention to the smallest detail.
We cook the kind of food we truly enjoy eating ourselves. Comforting yet refined. Familiar yet contemporary. Our aim is to create an atmosphere where you feel relaxed and genuinely welcome — a place where you can savour something sincere, flavourful and made with heart.
We are particularly proud of Ješka’s Marenda — our lunchtime concept inspired by childhood memories, the comforting aromas of our parents’ kitchens, and the warmth of sharing a table. In Dalmatia, marenda is more than a meal; it is a daily ritual. With us, lunch becomes a moment to slow down, reconnect, and rediscover the simple joy of good food.
In the evening, our menu evolves. Dinner at Ješka offers a refined interpretation of Dalmatian classics, reimagined with modern techniques and elegant presentation. Each season shapes our menu — bringing new ingredients, new textures, and new stories to tell through flavour.
To complement the experience, we offer a carefully selected list of organic and biodynamic wines, handcrafted cocktails, natural juices, and speciality coffee. Every element is chosen with intention, ensuring harmony between food, drink and setting.
